People used to say I was cold, that they wanted to be my friend but just couldn’t connect with me. The truth is, I was playing a role, showing the world what I thought they wanted to see because I didn’t believe anyone would accept the real me. I wasn’t supposed to have this big house, the new car, the doting husband, and the picture-perfect family. I grew up in poverty, and this life felt foreign. I had nothing in common with my neighbors. No matter what I did, I felt like I was still that sad little girl in the trailer park waiting for her parents to come back. I was just a shell of myself—no goals, no dreams, no direction. My only purpose was to make sure my kids didn’t have the childhood I had.

But the truth was, I couldn’t handle the life I thought I wanted, and that conflict was reflected in my frequency and vibration. Eventually, my path was redirected. I lost nearly everything—the husband and the new house, with no job, and no savings. I had to move from my 4 bedroom house into a 2 bedroom apartment in a smaller town and start over as a single mom with my kids part-time. I was almost exactly 36, right on top of a Saturn square and nodal return, and I hadn’t started living according to my Human Design. It was showing in my energy, and my life had fallen apart.

But that wake-up call ignited something in me. It sparked my drive and creativity, and it led me to this moment. I started this business, got healthy, began healing my childhood traumas, and found a tribe of women I connect with so deeply that we have an unshakable bond. Looking back, I won’t lie—it was HARD. But I am so grateful that I opened myself up to a new direction in life. I’ve never felt better, clearer, or more whole.

I unschool my kids, we sleep in, we travel all the time because I have time freedom with my business, I go to the gym nearly every day (sometimes in the middle of the day), and on days like today I sit at my desk in my home office in my pajamas writing this message hoping it will reach the right person.
